Mother

Mother

you’ve been a pillar of strength

to those you love

You’ve wrenched your heart out

prove you care

you can give no more

except

movements

rigid movements

just movements

remembered movements

constantly repeated

learned

empty

cold

Mother

don’t you think

it’s time

to reclaim

your lost heart

To be whole again?

To relax your jaws

in genuine samile

To feel warm blood

coursing

through your veins

to be alive

again?

Mother

I do love you

long to hold

the softness of

my childhood memory

the cold frame

around you is

unyielding

its hurts too much.

Mother

you must bury your dead

grieve if you will

move on

grasp life

fleeting moments

minutes, hours

with all of you

mother dear
